HomeMy WebLinkAbout878ORDINANCE NO. 878 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 14, SECTION 14-13 THEREOF, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS AMENDED, SAID SECTION PROVIDING FOR SCHEDULE OF OCCU- PATIONS AND LICENSE TAXES, SAID AMENDMENT CREATING A SPORTING GOODS DEALER CLASSIFI- CATION AND ESTABLISHING THE TAX THEREFOR. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION i. That Section 14-13, The Code of the City of Sanford, Florida, 1954, as amended, providing for schedule of occu- potions and license taxes, be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto Item 170 1/2 creating the classification of sporting goods dealer, as follows: "170 1/2. Sporting goods dealer. "Sporting goods dealers shall pay a license tax based on the full cash value of stock carried as of September 30, immediately preceding the license year at the same rates as are established for merchants in Item 128 hereof. Sporting goods dealer shall be defined as the dealing, selling, trading, maintenance and repair of all items of sporting goods equipment." SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective imme- diately upon its passage and adoption, and by its terms shall establish the occupational license tax imposed upon the classification sporting goods dealer, for the fiscal year 1965-66.
