HomeMy WebLinkAbout891ORDINANCE NO. 891 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING MAXIMUM RATES FOR FARES OF TAXICABS OPERATING WITHIN THE CITY OF SANFORD. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 882 was duly adopted on the 10th day of January, A.D. 1966, which said ordinance regulates the operation of taxicabs within the City of Sanford, a part of which requires approval by the City Commission of all fares to be charged in said taxicab operations; and WHEREAS, a schedule of fares has been so submitted to the City Commission for its approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION ONE: That all fares for taxicab operations within the City of Sanford shall be not greater than the schedule of maximum fares, attached hereto marked Exhibit A and by reference incorporated herein. SECTION TWO: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION THREE: That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of August A.D. 1966. As the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida. CERTIFICATE I, H. L. Whelchel, City Clerk of the City of Sanford, Florida, do hereby certify that a true and correct copy of the foregoing Ordinance No. 891, PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 22nd day of August, 1966, was POSTED at the front door of the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 23rd day of August, 1966. City~ CI6rk / -2- (a) (b) (c) (a) E~tIBIT "A" SCHEDULE OF TAYICAB FARES Fifty cents in the area bounded by Lake Monroe, Mellonville Avenue, 20th Street ~ud Mangoustine Avenue. Sixty cents in an area outside the fifty cent zone bounded by Lake Monroe, the eastern City Limits to 25th Street, 25th Street on the south and Roosevelt, Persimmon and Terwilliger Avenues on the west. Seventy-five cents in any other area within the current City Limits, except that part of the City Limits extending south of 29th Street in which area the rate would be One dollar to Onora Road and One dollar and twenty-five cents south of Onora Road. Sixty cents maximum rate for any point within (a) above between the hours of lc00 o'clock A.M. and 6:00 o'clock A.M. Rates approved by City Commission August 8, 1966.
