BE IT ~ACTED BY THE PEOPLE CF ~ CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1.
Ordinance Number 46~,
adopted the 13th day of February, 1950,
a Building Code for the City of Sanford,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
That Sub-Section (f) of Section 103.4 of
of the City of Sanford, Florida, passed and
said Ordinance establishing
Florida, be, and the same
"(f) Costs incurred under paragraphs 105.4 (d)
and 103.4 (e) shall be charged to the ~ner of the
premises involved and shall be collected in the follow-
lng manner: If the City of Sanford demolishes and
removes any building or structure as provided in Sub-
Sections (d) and (e) of this Section and the cost there-
of is not paid by the owner or owners or parties having
a legal or beneficial interest therein within ten (10)
days after delivery by the Building Official, either
personally or by registered mail, to said owner, owners
or parties, of a statement setting forth the amount of
said cost, the City may sell the ~mterials composing
such building or structure either at primate or public
sale and apply the proceeds of such sale, first, to the
payment of the cost of such demolition and removal, second,
to the holders of any lien or liens thereon, and, third, to
the owner or o~ners thereof or parties having any legal
or beneficial interest therein, and if the proceeds of
the sale of such ~aterials are not sufficient to pay the
cost of such demolition and removal the City shall have
a lien upon the land upon which such structuure stood,
and file and have recorded written notice thereof in
the ogfice of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of ~Seminole
County, Florida, and such shall be enforceable by suit
in chancery within one (1) year after the filing of notice
of lien as aforesaid; ~-~nd, like~ise, if the City of
San. Ford repairs a building or structure as provided in
Smb-sectio~(d) and (e) of this section, and the cost
tlicreof is not paid by tho ~,~ner or or;nets or other
parties having a legal or beneficial interest therein,
v~ithin ten (10) days ~t<~r delivery of s~atement of
cost, as horeinabove provided in case of demolition
and removal, the City shall have a lien on said build-
ing and land upon which the s~ie stands for the cost
of such repairs, and shall file and hav~ recorded notice
thereof as hereinabove provided for liens for demolish-
i~ ~d removing a building or structure, and such
liens shall be e~orceable by suit in chancery witch
one (1) year after the filing thereof in the ~fice of
the Clerk ~ the Circuit Court of Seminole County,
Florida."
Section 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section $. That this ordinance shall bec~me effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
