WATE~ AND TELEPHONE SERVICE EXCEPT AS TP~REIN
PROVIDED, AND I,~KING PROVISION AS TO AD~0LVNTS,
COLLECTION, AND DISPOSITION OF PROCEEDS OF SAID
TAX, AND SAID SECTION 3 PROVIDING FOR EXE~UEON
OF THE U~TED STATES OF A~RICA AND ITS AGENCIES
FROM THE PAY~NT OF SUCH TAX.

BE IT ENACTE~ ~ THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SA~0RD, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 379 of the
City of ~ord, Florida, passed and adopted August 27, 1945, said
ordinance levying and imposing a tax on every purchase in the City
of Sanford, Florida of Electricity, metered or bottled gas (natural,
liquefied petroleum gas or manufact~ed gas), water and telephone
service except as therein provided, and maki~ provision as to amounts,
collection, and disposition of proceeds of said tax, said Section 3
readi~ as foll~s:
"Section 3. That the United States of America and
its Agencies are hereby exert from payment ~ the
tax levied by t~s ordinance."
b~ and the same is hereby repealed.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPT~ this 12 day of March 1951.

copy of Ordinance No. 465, PASSED and ADOPTED by the C!ty

C!~y Hall in the C!ty of Sanford, on the 20~h day of March,
1951.
