AN ORDINANCE APENDIEG $~CTION 10 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 199 OF THE CITY OF sANFORD, FLORIDA, PASSED
AND ADOPTED NOVEMBER 9, 1931, WHICH PRESCRIBES
PROHIBITIONS AND REGULATIONS CONCERNING S~LE ~
MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS IN THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FL(RIDA, BY PERMITTING HOTELS, SODA FOUNTAINS,
RESTAURANTS AND SIMILAR ESTABLIS~TS TO SERVE
MILK FROM MECHANICAL REFRIGERATC~ DISPENSERS
MEETING THE REQUIREMENTS HEREIN SPECIFIED.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY CF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 10 of Ordinance No. 199 of the
City of Sanford, Florida, passed and adopted November 9, 1931, be-
ing entitled ,AN ORDINANCE DEFINING "MILK" AND CERTAIN "MILK PROD-
UCTS" "MILK PRODUCER," "PASTEURIZATION" ETC., PROHIBITING THE SALE
OF ADULTERATED Ah~ MISBRANDED M1WJ( AND MKLK PRODUCTS, REQUIRING PER-
MITS FOR THE SALE OF MILK AND Mrr,~ PRODUG*~S, REGULATING THE INSPEC-
TION OF DAIRY FAPA~S AND MILK PLANTS, THE TESTINI;, GRADING, (LABEL-
ING), PLACARDING, (PASTJ~URIZAT!CN) REGRADING, DISTRIBUTION, SALE,
AND DENATURING OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS, PROVIDING THE PUBLISHING
OF MTLK GRADES, THE CONSTRUCTION OF FUTURE DAIRIES AND MILK PLANTS,
THE EIQFOR~T OF THIS ORDINANCE, AND THE FIXING OF PENALTIES.", be
and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 10. TRANSFERRING OR DIPPING MILK.
No milk producer or distributor shall transfer milk
or milk products from one container to another upon the
street or in any vehicle or store, or in any place except
a bottling or milk room especially used for that purpose,
except as may be specially permitted by the health offi-
cer in the case of milk being delivered in bulk. The sale
of dip milk is hereby expressly prohibited. It shall be
unlawfnl for hotels, soda fountains, restaurants, and sim-
ilar establishments to sell or serve any milk except either
in the original container in which it was received from the
producer or distributor, or from mechanical refrigerator dis-
pensers meeting all requirements of State and Federal health
agencies and approved by the City Health Officer, provided
this requirement shall not apply to mixed milk drinks.
Ail pasteurized milk shall be placed in its final de-
livery container in the plant in ~hich it is pasteurized.
The delivery of milk to and the collection of milk contain-
ers from quarantined residences shall be subject to the
special requirements of the health officer.
SECTION 2: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall become
mediately upon its passage and adoption.
