AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15(A) OF 0RDI-
NANCE NO. 300 OF THE CITY OF sANFORD, FLORIDA
PASSED AND ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 23, 19~0, WHICH
PRESCRIBES PROHIBITIONS AND REGULATIONS CON-
CERNING SALE OF ~'T.~' AND MILK PRODUCTS IN THE
CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, BY PERMITTING HOT~T-q,
SODA FOUNTAINS, RESTAURANTS AND STMrLAR ESTAB-
LISHMENTS TO SERVE MILK FROM MECHANICAL REFRIG-
ERATOR DISPENSERS MEETING THE REQUIR~NTS HEREIN
SPECIFIED; REPEALING 0RDINA2~E NO. ~90 AND OTHER
ORDINANCES OR SECTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 15(A) of Ordinance No. 300 of the City of
Sanford, Florida, passed and adopted September 23, 19~0, being en-
titled -AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, ~0RIDA, DEFINING "~iLK"
AND CERTAIN -MILK PRODUCTS", "MILK PRODUCER", "PASTEURIZATION," ~.~C.
PROHIBITING THE S~T~ OF ADULTERATED AND ~&ISBRANDED MILK AND MILK
PRODUCTS, REQUIRING PERMITS FOR THE SALE OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCTS,
REGULATING THE INSPECTION OF DAIRY FAPfl~ AND MILK PLANTS, THE TEST-
lNG, GRADING, LABELING, PLACARDING, PASTEURIZATION, REGRADING, DIS-
TRIBUTION, SALE AND DENATURING OF MILK AND MILK PRODUCT~, PEO¥IDING
FOR THE PUBLISHING OF MILK GRADES, THE CONSTRUCTION OF DAIRIES AND
MILK PLANTS, THE ENFORCE~.NT OF ~IS ORDINANCE, AND THE FT~TNG OF
PENALTIES.", be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 15{A). TRANSFERRING OR DIPPING MILK.
No milk producer or distributor shall trans-
fer milk or milk products from one contaLuer to
another upon the street or in any vehicle or
store, or in any place except a bottling or milk
room especially used for that purpose, except
as may be specially permitted by the health offi-
cer in the case of milk being delivered in bulk.
The sale of dip milk is hereby expressly prohibited.
It shall be ~tnlawf~l f~ hotels, soda foun-
rains, restaurants, and similar establishm~ts
to sell or serve any milk except either in the
original container in ~ich it was received
from the producer or distributor, or from me-
chanical refrigerater dispensers meeting all
requirements of State m~d Federal health agen-
cies and approved by the City Health Officer,
provided this requirement shall not apply to
mixed drinks.
All pasteurized milk shall be placed
in its final delivery container in the pla~t
in which it is pasteurized.
SECTION 2: That Ordinance No. ~90 of the City of Sanford, Florida,
passed and adopted July 9, 1951, be and the same is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shell become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
