AN 0RDI~ANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXTNG TH~ RAT~
OF TAXATION AAD MAK/NG ~TE ANNUAL TAX LEVY
OF TH~ CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEA~
1952.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF ~iE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the amount determined necessary to be
raised by taxation in the City of Sanford, Florida, for the year
1952 for the ordinary purposes of the ~unicipality and the Depart-
ment of Debt Service is the sum of $220,200.00.
SECTION 2. That the millage for the year 1952 to be as-
sessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all the tax-
able property, excep~ Homesteads to the assessed value of $5,000.00
or less, within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford, Flor-
ida, is hereby fixed at 17.4000 mills, to be allocated as follows:
Department of General Government 8.4000 mills
Department of Debt Service 9.0000 mills
SECTION 3. That the millage for ~he year 1952 to be as-
sessed upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all Homesteads
to the assessed value of $5,000.00 or less within the corporate
limits of the City of Sanford, Florida, is hereby fixed at 9.0000
mills,
to be allocated as follows:

SECTION 4. That there shall

be and is hereby levied for
the year 1952 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all
taxable property, except Homesteads to the assessed value of
$5,000.00 or less, Within the corporate limits of the City of San-
ford, Florida, a tax of 8.&000 mills for the purpose of realizing
a sum sufficient to meet and defray the necessary Ordinary running
and operating expenses of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the
fiscal year beginning October l, 1952, and ending September 30,1953.
SECTION 5. That there shall be and is hereby levied for
the year 1952 upon each dollar of the assessed valuation of all
taxable property within the corporate limits of the Oity of San-
ford, Florida, a tax of 8.0769 mills for the purpose of realizing
a sum sufficient to pay interest coupons maturing March l, 1953,
and september l, 1953, on Refunding Bonds series A, of the City
of sanford, Florida, dated March 1, 1937, aud maturing September
l, 1977, and to create a sinking Fund for the purchase or acquir-
ing of bonds of said Series A; a tax of .7162 mills for the pur-
pose of realizing a sum sufficient to pay interest coupons matur-
ing ~arch l, 1953, and September l, 1953, on Refunding Bonds Ser-
ies G, D, and E, of the City of sanford, Florida, dated March l,
19~l, and ~aturing September l, 1977, and to create a sinking Fund
for the purchase or acquiring of bonds of said Series C, D, and E;
and a tax of .2069 mills for the purpose of realizing a sum suf-
ficient to pay outstanding notes, G~tracts and interest thereon
maturing during current fiscal year.
SECTION 6. That all Ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict h®rewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTIO~ 7. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
