AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA AMENDING ARTICLE III, SECTION
23-17 OF CHAPTER 23, THE CODE OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS
SAID SECTION PERTAINING TO AN
PRIVILEGE TAX ON CIGARETTES,
AMENDED,
EXCISE OR
SAID AMEND-
MENT ADOPTING THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER
2[0, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1967, AS PRESENTLY
ENACTED AND AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE
AMENDED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE
OF FLORIDA INSOFAR AS THE SAME IS APPLICABLE
TO MUNICIPALITIES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA.
SECTION [. That Section 23-[7 of Article III, The Code of the
City of Sanford, Florida, 1954, as Amended, pertaining to the taxation
on cigarettes, be and the same is hereby amended by adopting in lieu
thereof all provisions of Chapter 210, Florida Statutes, 1967, as the
same presently exists and as the same may from time to time be
amended by the Legislature of the State of Florida pertaining to the levy
of an excise or privilege tax by municipalities on cigarettes.
SECTION 2. That ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
