AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, PRESCRIBING RATES TO BE
CHARGED FOR WATER FURNISHED BY THE CITY
OF SANFORD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NUMBER 830, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That water furnished by the City of Sanford,
Florida, shall be paid for upon the basis of a minimum of 4,000
gallons of water furnished monthly to each user of water, whether
said amount be used or not.
SECTION 2. That water furnished by the City of Sanford,
Florida, to properties located within the corporate limits of
the City of Sanford, Florida, shall be paid for monthly by the
users thereof according to meter measurement as the following
rates:
For the first 4,000 gallons of water used,
68¢ per each one thousand gallons.
For the next 6,000 gallons of water used,
42~ per each one thousand gallons.
For all over 10,000 gallons of water used,
and not exceeding 50,000 gallons, 36¢ per
each one thousand gallons or fraction thereof.
For all over 50,000 gallons of water used,
and not exceeding 100,000 gallons, 30~ per
each one thousand gallons or fraction thereof.
For all over 100,000 gallons of water used,
24~ per each one thousand gallons or fraction
thereof.
Provided that the minimum charge for water
furnished shall be $2.72 per month.
SECTION 3. That the rates hereinbefore specified shall
be applicable to those users within the corporate limits of the
City of Sanford; users outside the corporate limits of the City
of Sanford shall pay 200 per cent of the above rates.
SECTION 4. Fire hydrant rental shall be at the rate of
