AN ORDINANCE OF TI~ CiTY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE
III, SECTION 24-10 THEREOF, SAID SECTION
RELATING TO REQUIRED COVERAGE AND
AMOONTS OF LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR
TAXICAB OPERATION, SAID AMENDMENT
INCREASING THE REQUIRED AMOUNT OF
COVERAGE AND REQUIRING ADVANCE
PREMIUM pAYMENT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF ~ CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
sECTION 1: That Chapter 24, Article III, Section 24-10 thereof
relating to required coverage and amounts of liability insurance required
for operation of taxicabs within the City of Sanford, Florida, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 24-10 Required; coverage and amounts:
Every person, firm or corporation obtaining a license to
engage in the taxicab business in the City shall furnish
either a surety bond issued by a surety company authorized
to do business in the State of Florida, or an insurance policy
company authorized to do business
issued by an insurance ' surance policy shall be approved

or the public for damages to property or for personal injury by
reason of any act of negligence in the operation of any motor
vehicle employed in such business. The amount of liability to
be covered by such bend or insurance policy shall be the
minimum requirements as established frcrn ti_me to time
by the statutes of the State of Florida. All such bonds or
insurance policies so furnished shall be accompanied by
a receipt from the issuing company or its agent, showing
the premium therefor paid in advance for a period of twelve
months corresponding to the license year in the City.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall become effective October 1,
1958.
