AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA AMENDING PARAGRAPHS A, C AND
E OF SECTION 7~ R-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OF ORDINANCE NO.
362 OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA
AS AMENDED, SAID ORDINANCE BEING THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA~
SAID AMENDMENTS ALTERING USES PERMITTED,
BUILDING SITE AREA REQUIRED AND SIDE YARD
REQUIRED AS THE SAME APPLY TO R-2, MULTIPLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Paragraphs A, C and E of Section 7
Ordinance No. 362 of the C~ty of Sanford, Florida, as amended, the
same being the zoning ordinance of the City of Sanford, Florida, said
paragraphs pertaining to R-2, Multiple Family Residential District,
be and the same are hereby amended to read as follows:
A.. USES PERMITTED
l. Any use permitted in the R-l, Single Family
Residential District.
2. Multiple Family dwellings.
3. Hotels, boarding and lodging houses.
4. Hospitals and clinics except animal
hospitals and clinics.
5. Private clubs and lodges.
6. Guest houses, tourist homes.
7. Garage apartments provided the same do not
occupy more than 30 per cent of the rear yard area and
only when used in connection with a single family dweli-
ing as the main building.
8. Professional offices.
9. Accessory buildings and uses customarily
incident to any of the above uses, including private and
storage garages when located on the same lot aal not
involving the conduct of a business,
G. BUILDING SITE AREA REQUIRED
For a one-family dwelling, 5,000 square feet
per family.
For a two-family dwelling, 2,900 square feet
per family.
For multiple-family dwellings, 1,200 square feet
per family.
E. SIDE YARD REQUIRED
There shall be side yards, the width of which
shall be not less than 10 feet on multiple f~-nily dwellings
and 7 1/2 feet, on other structures.
SECTION 2: That ail ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
