AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING
WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA KNOWN
AS PINECREST SCHOOL, ACCORDING TO THE
PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
HEREINAFTER; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
FOR SAID ANNEXATION AND FOR THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES FOR CITIZENSHIP IN THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Sanfozd, Florida, one (1) petition containing the name of one
(1) property owner in the area known as Pinecrest School, Seminole
County, Florida, according to the Public Records thereof, requesting
annexation to the corporate area of the City of Sanford, Florida and
requesting to be included therein, and
WHEREAS, said petition was duly certified to the tax assessor
of Seminole County, Florida, pursuant to Chapter 57-1815, Laws of
Florida, Acts of 1957, and the certification of the tax assessor of
Seminole County, Florida as to the sufficiency of such petition pur-
suant to the terms of said Act received, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida
has deemed it in the best interest of the City to accept said petition and
to annex said area,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area known as Pinecrest School,
according to the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida, and more
particularly described as follows, to-wit:
All of the SE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 20 South,
Range 30 East, West of the East line of the Sanford
Grant, con,raining 18 acres, more or less;
AND:
The North 10 acres of Government Lot 2, of Section 1,
Township 20 South, Range 30 East;
LESS:
Beginning at a point 722.54 feet South of the Northwest
corner of the Southeast quarter-section of Section 1,
Township 20 South, Range 30 East, Seminole County,
Florida; run thence South on quarter-section line 1165.86
feet to the intersection of '
sa~d quarter-section line and
the easterly line of the Sanford, Grant, thence North 25
degrees East along said grant line 1291.45 feet; thence
West 555.46 feet to point of beginning, (less the West
30 feet for public right of way) containing 6.65 acres,
moFe or less.
be and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of
Sanford, Florida pursuant to the terms of Chapter 57-1815, Laws of
Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 2. That upon this Ordinance becomh~g effective,
the residents and property oumers in the above-described annexed
area shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges and immunities
as are from time to time granted to residents and property owners of
the City of Sanford, Florida, and as are further provided in Chapter
57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and shall further be subject
to the responsibilities of residency or ownership as may be from time
to time determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida,
Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
