AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING
WITHIN THE COKPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA KNOWN
AS SOUTH PINECREST, FIRST ADDITION,
ACCORDING TO THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SAID
ANNEXATION AND FOK THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES FOR CITIZENSHIP IN THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, there have been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Sanford, Florida, eleven (11) petitions containing the names
of fifty-two (52) property owners in the area known as South Pinecrest,
First Addition, Seminole County, Florida, according to the Public
Records thereof, requesting annexation to the corporate area of The
City of Sanford, Florida and requesting to be included therein, and
WHEREAS, said petitions were duly certified to the tax
assessor of Seminole County, Florida, pursum~t to Chapter 57-1815,
Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and the certification of the tax assessor
of Seminole County, Florida as to the sufficiency of such petitions put-
suant to the terms of said Act received, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida
has deemed it in the best interest of the City to accept said petitions and
to annex said area,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area known as South Pinecrest,
First Addition, according to the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida,
and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
The SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 20
South, Range 30 East, less the East 822 feet. Also
Lot 24, Block A, South Pinecrest, according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 10, pages 9 and
10, of the Public Records of Seminole County, Florida.
be and the same is t~ereby annexed to and made a part of the City of
Sanford, Florida pursuant to the terms of Chapter 57-18/5, Laws of
Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 2. That upon this Ordinance becoming effective,
me residents and property owners in the above-described annexed
area shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges and immunities
as are from time to time granted to residents and property ova~ers of
the City of Sanford, Florida, ahd as are further provided in Chapter
57-18,' 5, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and shall ~urther be subject
to the responsibilities of residency or ownership as may be from time
to time determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida,
Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED KND ADOPTED this 13th day of July, A.D. 1959.
