AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING
WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA KNOWN
AS SOUTH PINECREST SECOND ADDITION,
ACCORDING TO THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
SEMINOLE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SAID
ANNEXATION AND FOR THE RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES FOR CITIZENSHIP IN 71q E CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, there have been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Sanfo~d, Florida, nine (9) petitions containing the names of
e~gnty-three (83) property ovmers in the area known as Soum Pinecrest
Second Addition, Seminole County, Florida, according to the Public
Records meteor, requesting annexation to the corporate area of the
City of Sanford, Florida, and requesting to be included therein, and
WHEREAS, said petitions were duly certified to the tax
assessor of Seminole County, Florida, pursuant to Chapter 57-1815,
Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and me certification of the tax assessor
of Seminole County, Florida as to the sufficiency of such petition pur-
suant to the terms of said Act received, and
WHEREAS, t~e City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida has deemed it in me best interest of the City to accept said petitions
and to annex said area,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area known as South Pinecrest
Second Addition, according to the Public Records of Seminole County,
Florida, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 12,
Towaaship 20 South, Range 30 East, and running
South 192 1/2 yards, thence West 880 yards, thence .--
North 192 1/2 yards, thence East 880 to point of J' ....
beginnin~ (Less the portion thereof lying East of
a line parallel to and 229 feet West of the center of
present brick pavement on Sanford Avenue, and
Less right of way for Onoro Avenue, as recorded
in Deed Book 184, page 106 of the Public Records
of Semhaole County, Florida. ) according to plat
thereof recorded in Plat Book 10, pages 89 and 90,
Public Records of Seminole Cour~ty, Florida.
be and the same is hereby annexed to at~d made a pa rt of the City of
Sanford, Florida pursuant to the terms of Chapter 57-1815, Laws of
Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 2. That upon this Ordinance becoming effective,
the residertts and property owners in tne above-described annexed
area shall be entitled to all of the rigi~ts and privileges and immunities
as are from time to time granted to residents and property owners of
the City of Sanford, Florida, and as are further provided in Chapter
57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and shall further be subject
to the responsibilities of residency or ownership as may be from time
to time determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and the p ovisions of said Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida,
Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of September, A.D. 1959.

Florida, do hereby certify that a true and correct copy of the fore=
going, Ordinance No. 686, PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Commission
of the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 14th. Day of September, 1959,
was POSTED at the front door of the City Hall in the City of Sanford,
Florida, on the 15th. day of September, 1959.
