AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER
362 OF SAID CITY, AS AMENDED, SAID
ORDINANCE BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTAB-
LISHING A ZONING PLAN WITHIN THE CITY
OF SANFORD, SAID AMENDMENT CREATING
AN ADDITIONAL DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS
R-lC, SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT,
AND ESTABLISHING THE REQUIREMENTS
THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Tiaat Ordinance No. 362 of the City of Sanford,
Florida, passed and adopted December 26, ~944, as amended, said
Ordinance being entitled:
"An Ordinance establishing a zoning plan within the
City of Sanford, Florida, creating 14 districts,
regulatins and restricting the location and use of
buildings, structures, land and water for trade,
industry, residence or omer purposes; the height
and size of structures, and the size of open spaces
for light and ventilation; adopting a map of said
districts; defining terms, uses; providing for the
adjustment, enfm'cement and amendment thereof;
and prescribing penalties for violation. ,"
be and the same is hereby amended by creating an additional district
to be known as R-lC, Single Family Residential District as follows:
R-lC.
A.
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
Uses permitted. (One Single) Family Dwelling
and all other uses permitted in Zone R-lB,
Single Family District.
B. Building height limit shall be the same as R-lB,
Single Family Residential District.
C. Building Site Area Requir'ed. The minimum
building site area slmll be one lot or parcel of
land 6,500 square feet in area for each one
(sinole) family dwelling. Such parcel shall have
an average width of at least 50 feet.
D. Front yard requirement. The front yard require-
ment shall be the same as R-lB, Single Family
District.
E. Side Yard Required. There shall be side yards, the
width of each to be not less than 7 //2 feet.
F. Rear Yard Required. Rear yard require merits shall
be the same as R-lB, Single Family Residential
District.
G. First Floor Area. The first floor area requirement
shall be the same as R-lB, Single Family' Residential
District.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be, and me same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
