AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 18-60, CHAPTER 18, THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA 1954, AS AMENDED,
THE SAME BEING ENTITLED TRANSIENT OR ITINERANT
SOLICITORS GENERALLY - PERMIT REQUIRED
PREREQUISITE TO ISSUANCE, SAID AMENDMENT IN
ADDITION TO PRESENT REQUIREMENTS REQUIRING
PROOF OF PHYSICAL R
ESIDENCE WITHIN SEMINOLE
COUNTY, FLORIDA FOR A PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS
PRIOR TO PERMIT ISSUANCE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 18-60, Chapter 18, The Code of the
City of Sanford, Florida 1954, as amended, said Section providing for
prerequisites to issuance of permits required for transient or itinerant
solicitors generally, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Sec. 18-60. Transient or Itinerant Solicitors Generally -
Permit Required - Prerequisite to
Issuance.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a permit
to any person or individual, upon proper application, to
solicit orders from the citizens of the City, but only upon
exhibition to him of proper credentials, proof of physical
residence within Seminole County, Florida for a period of
six months immediately prior to such application, and a
health certificate signed by the City Physician. Such
health certificate shall certify that the applicant is free
from any communicable disease. The City Physician is
hereby authorized and directed to make a charge of $3.00
for such service.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.

Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 9th. day of
February, 1960.
