AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA~ ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING
WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD~ FLORIDA~ THE AREA KNOWN
AS A PORTION OF WOODMERE PARK REPLAT,
ACCORDING TO THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
SEMINOLE COUNTY, AND MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER: PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SAID ANNEXATION AND
FOR THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES FOR CITIZEN-
SHIP IN THE CITY OF SANFORD~ FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk of the
City of Sanford, Florida, one (1) petition containing the names of
twenty-three (23) property owners in the area known as a portion of
Woodmere Park Replat, Seminole County, Florida, according to the
Public Records thereof, requesting annexation to the corporate area of
the City of Sanford, Florida and requesting to be included therein, and
WHEREAS, said petition was duly certified to the tax
assessor of Seminole County, Florida, pursuant to Chapter 57-1815,
Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and the certification of the tax assessor
of Seminole County, Florida as to the sufficiency of such petition pur-
suant to the terms of said Act received, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida has deemed it in the best interest of the City to accept said
petition and to annex said area,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area known as a portion of
Woodmere Park Replat, according to the Public Records of Seminole
County, Florida, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at the SW corner of the plat of Woodmere Park
Replat, according to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book
12, page 99, Seminole County Public Records, said corner
being on the easterly right-of-way line of Sanford
Avenue, thence run North along said easterly right
of way line to its intersection with the North line of
said WOODMERE PARK REPLAT, thence run South 89
degrees 56 minutes 40 seconds East to the city limits
of the City of Sanford, thence run southerly along said
Sanford city limits to a point lying South 89 degrees
58 minutes East of point of beginning, thence North
89 degrees 58 minutes West to point of beginning,
be, and the same is hereby annexed to and made a part of the City of
Sanford, Florida pursuant to the terms of Chapter 57-1815, Laws of
Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 2. That upon this Ordinance becoming effective,
the residents and property owners in the above-described annexed area
shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges and immunities as are
from time to time granted to residents and property owners of the City of
Sanford, Florida, and as are further provided in Chapter 5~-1815, Laws
of Florida, Acts of 1957, and shall further be subject to the responsibilities
of residency or ownership as may be from time to time determined by the
governing authority of the City of Sanford, Florida, and the provisions of
said Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon its passage and adoption.

rect copy of the foregoing Ordinance No. 760 PASSED and
ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Sanford,
Florida, on the 11th Day of September 1961, was POSTED
at the front door of the City Hall in the City of San-
ford, Florida, on the 12th day of September 1961.
