AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, ANNEXING TO AND INCLUDING
WITHIN THE CORPORATE AREA OF THE CITY
OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, THE AREA DESCRIBED
HEREINAFTER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 57-1815, LAWS OF
FLORIDA, ACTS OF 1957.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 823 of the City of Sanford, Florida
was heretofore adopted on January 27, 1964, annexing to the corporate
limits of the City of Sanford, Florida pursuant to Chapter 57~1815, Laws
of Florida, Acts of 1957, lands in Section 1, Township 20 South, Range
30 East, Seminole County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the description of the property annexed pursuant
to said Ordinance was erroneous, and
WHEREAS, new petitions have been received and filed with
the City of Sanford and duly certified by the Tax Assessor of Seminole
County, Florida as to the sufficiency of said petitions, and the City
Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida has deemed it in the best
interests of the City of Sanford to accept said petitions and to annex
said areas,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That that certain area in Seminole County,
Florida, described as follows, to-wit:
Commencing 150 feet East of the intersection of the South right-of-way
line of 27th Street as now located, and the West line of the NE 1/4 of the
NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 20 South, Range
30 East, thence run South 225 feet, thence run East 139 feet, thence run
North 225 feet, thence run West 139 feet to point of beginning.
Commencing at a point 300 feet South and 150 feet East of the intersection
of the South right-of-way line of 27th Street as now located, and the West
line of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 1,
Township 20 South, Range 30 East, for point of beginning; thence North
75 feet, thence East 139 feet, thence South 75 feet, thence West 139 feet
to point of beginning.
The East 50 feet of the South 150 feet of the North 300 feet of the West 150
feet of the East 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 1, Township 20
South, Range 30 East.
SECTION 2. That upon this Ordinance becoming effective,
the residents and property owners in the above described annexed area
shall be entitled to all of the rights and privileges and immunities as are
from time to time granted to residents and property owners of the City
of Sanford, Florida, and as are further provided in Chapter 57-1815,
Laws of Florida, Acts of 1957, and shall further be subject to the
responsibilities of residence or ownership as may be from time to
time determined by the governing authority of the City of Sanford,
Florida, and the provisions of said Chapter 57-1815, Laws of Florida,
Acts of 1957.
SECTION 3. The provisions of said Ordinance No. 823
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this
This ordinance shall become effective immediately.
