AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SUBSECTION (B) OF
SECTION 4-2 ESTABLISHING HOURS AND
DAYS OF SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES,
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
1954, AS AMENDED, SAID AMENDMENT PROVIDING
AN EXEMPTION FOR HOTELS HAVING MORE THAN
FIFTY ROOMS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1o That Subsection (b) of Section 4-2, The Code of the
City of Sanford, Florida, 1954, as amended, dealing with hours and days
of sale of alcoholic beverages, be, and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"(b)
The provisions of Paragraph (a) of this Section
shall not apply to hotels having 100 or more
rooms for accomodation of guests, and that
as to such hotels the sale of intoxicating
beverages, including wine and beer, between
the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. on each
Sunday, and between the hours of 2:00 A.M.
and 8:00 A.M. on all other days, is hereby
prohibited. Hotels having not less than 50
nor more than 99 rooms for accomodation
of guests, as to such hotels the sale of
intoxicating beverages, including wine and
beer, between the hours of 2:00 A.M. and
12:00 midnight on each Sunday, and between
the hours of 12:00 midnight on each Sunday
and 8:00 A.M. on each Monday, and between
the hours of 2:00 A.M. and 8:00 A.M. on all
other days is hereby prohibited."
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith, be, and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately after its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23d day of March, A.D. 1964.
