AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD,
FLORIDA PRESCRIBING RATES TO BE CHARGED
FOR WATER FURNISHED BY THE CITY OF
SANFORD AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NUMBER 525, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That water furnished by the City of Sanford,
Florida, shall be paid for upon the basis of a minimum of 4, 000 gallons
of water furnished monthly to each user of water, whether said amount
be used or not.
SECTION 2. That water furnished by the City of Sanford,
Florida, shall be paid for monthly by the users thereof according to
meter measurement at the following rates:
For the first 4,000 gallons of water used,
56 3/4¢ per each one thousand gallons.
For the next 6,000 gallons of water used, 350 per
each one thousand gallons or fraction thereof.
For all over 10, 000 gallons of water used and not
exceeding 50, 000 gallons, 30¢ per each one thousand
gallons or fraction thereof.
For all over 50, 000 gallons of water used and not
exceeding 100, 000 gallons, 25¢ per each one thousand
gallons or fraction thereof.
For all over 100, 000 gallons of water used and not
exceeding 250, 000 gallons, 20¢ per each one thousand
gallons or fraction thereof.
For all over 250, 000 gallons of water used, 1 7¢ per each
one thousand gallons or fraction thereof.
Provided that the minimum charge for water furnished
shall be $2.27 per month.
SECTION 3. That the beautification rate heretofore applied
during the summer months be, and the same is hereby repealed and
eliminated.
SECTION 4. That the rates hereinbefore specified shall be
applicable to those users within the corporate limits of the City of Sanford;
users outside of the corporate limits of the municipality shall pay 150 per
cent of the above rates.
SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith, including but not limited to Ordinance No. 525, be, and the same
are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
