AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA AMENDING
SECTION 16-38, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS AMENDED,
SAID SECTION REGULATING THE PARKING
OF TRUCKS AND CERTAIN VEHICLES OVER
TWENTY FEET LONG, SAID AMENDMENT
PROHIBITING PARKING OF TRUCKS AND CERTAIN
VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Section 16~83, The Code of the City of
Sanford, Florida, 1954, as amended, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 16-83.
Trucks and certain vehicles over
twenty feet long not to park in
certain areas.
No motor vehicle measuring twenty feet or more in
length from center of the front axle to the rear end of the
body of the motor vehicle shall be parked on any street
of the City where signs are placed thereon as provided
in Section 16-2 of this Code indicating that such vehicles
shall not park in the block indicated. In addition thereto,
irrespective of whether or not signs are posted, no motor
vehicle as described hereinafter shall park upon the streets
or within driveways or in any area classed as residential
under the zoning ordinance of the City of Sanford except
while actually loading or unloading. The words "motor
vehicle", as last stated, shall be construed to include
any motor vehicle Mth trailer thereto attached, which
motor vehicle and trailer is measured more than twenty
feet in length from the front axle to the rear end of the
body of the trailer. Motor vehicles of the length described
aforesaid shall, wherever parking is permitted, be parked
parallel with the street curb.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of June, A.D. 1965.
