Amendment # 1
FIRST AMENDMENT TO. AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
AND CITY OF SANFORD
FOR A RECLAIMED WATER AUGMENTATION SYSTEM
THIS AMENDMENT is entered into this $ o day of 1' e, f, r.-~r'l~,, by and between
the GOVERNING BOARD of the ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
("DISTRICT"), whose address is Post Office Box 1429, Palatka, Florida 32178-1429, CITY OF
SANFORD ("CITY'), Post Office Box 1788, Sanford, FL, 32772.
WHEREAS, DISTRICT and CITY entered into an Agreement on July 2, 1999, for a
reclaimed water augmentation system; and
WHEREAS, DISTRICT and CITY desire to modify the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein and for
other good and valuable consideration, DISTRICT and CITY hereby agree to the following
amendments:
ARTICLE I - SCOPE OF WORK, shall be amended to include the following:
Scope of Work must follow revised work-plan approved by EPA on July 16, 1999.
ARTICLE II. - SCHEDULE OF WORK AND EFFECTIVE DATE, revise Paragraph
B as follows:
CITY and DISTRICT agree to extend the date for completion of work to September 30,
2003.

ARTICLE V. RESPONSIBILITIES OF CITY, revise Paragraph F'as follows:
Through this AGREEMENT, CITY agrees to provide at minimum forty-five percent of the
costs as matching funds for the construction of the project.
ARTICLE VI. RESPONSIBILITIES OF DISTRICT, revise Paragraph E as follows:
Through this AGREEMENT, DISTRICT agrees to provide up-to fifty-five percent of the
costs as matching funds for the approved project.
ARTICLE VIII, COMPENSATION, revise paragraph A as follows:
For satisfactory performance of the Work outlined in the Contract, DISTRICT agrees to pay
CITY as sum in the amount not to exceed $1,739,334

Amendment #1
DISTRICT and CITY agree that all other terms and conditions of the original Agreement
are hereby ratified and continue in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have duly executed this Amendment on the
date set forth above.
