Addendum B to "Agreement for Police Services"
Dated September 12, 2002
Between
Sanford Airport Authority and City of Sanford
Recently the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has required that all
commercial service airports post a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) at each security
screening station during passenger processing operations.
The Orlando Sanford International Airport has two screening stations. One is
located in Terminal A (International) and one in Terminal B (Domestic).
In addition to the services described in the basic "Agreement for Police Services"
dated September 12, 2002 and addendum A to that document dated February 5, 2002 this
agreement discusses additional concurrent services.
It is agreed that Sanford Police Department (SPD) shall provide one LEO per
each screening station described above during the hours of passenger screening
operations. The Sanford Airport AuthoriVy (SAA) agrees to compensate SPD at the
standard detail rate of $21.00 per hour or the actual and documented overtime rate.
This agreement is to commence on May 8, 2002 and continue until such a time as
the TSA has hired, trained and positioned Federal Law Enforcement Officers at this
airport. It is anticipated that Federal Law Enforcement Officers will be in position here
no later than December 1, 2003.
