SPECIAL WORK SESSION
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special
Work Session on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 3:30 PM, in the Steamboat Landing Room,
1 st Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

Vice Mayor Patty Mahany
Commissioner Mark M
Commissioner Velma Williams
Interim City Manager Tom George
City Clerk Janet Dougherty

Absent: Commissioner Randy Jones

• 1) Meeting call to order by Mayor Triplett.
Mayor Triplett called the Special Work Session to order at 3:47 PM.
Commissioner Jones stated he would be unable to attend today's meetings due to family
commitments but that he had introduced himself to the candidates earlier today.
2) Introductions: City Commission and Chief of Police applicants.
Interim City Manager Tom George introduced the Mayor and
Commission as well as the five finalists as they were individually called in to the
meeting. Each
applicant spoke
about themselves and
answered
the Mayor's and
Commissioners'
questions:
