BUDGET RETREAT
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Budget
Retreat on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 1:30 PM, in the Railroad Depot Room, Second
Floor, City Hall, 300 North Park Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

Absent: City Attorney William L. Colbert
Mayor Triplett called the meeting to order at 1:48 PM.
1. Introduction of the proposed 2011/2012 budget.
Interim City Manager George distributed and presented a power point
presentation, Review of FY I1 -12 Budget. Topics discussed included: budget outlook —
revenues and expenditures; recommendations to balance the FY 11 -12 budget; changes
made to personnel during 2010, 2011, and 2012 budget planning; elimination of unpaid
furloughs; FRS; pensions; general government CIP; COPS grant; fund balance analysis;
PSC savings analysis; sustainability; economic development; strategic planning; and ad
valorem taxes.
The proposed budget will be submitted to the Commission next week.
Budget work shops are scheduled for July 5 and 7.
