Minutes Mr. Loader moved to approve the Minutes of the July 21, 2011 Regular Meeting. Mr. Esler seconded. Motion carried 6 -0, Ms. Dennison not present at this time. Proof of Publication Mr. Yosefian moved to accept the proof of publications. Mr. Loader seconded. Motion carried 6 -0, Ms. Dennison not present at this time. Public Hearings Due to the applicant not being present at this time for PH -1 item, the board considered PH -2 first. Hold a Public Hearing to consider a Conditional Use to allow outdoor storage of vehicles at 201 Persimmon Avenue. Paul and Renee Lanza, property owners; John Herbert, P.E. — American Civil Engineering and Paul Lanza — property owner, representatives. Ms. Sheralyn Brinson was present to state she was concerned about how the area would look with the storage of vehicles on the property. Mr. Yosefian moved to approve the Conditional Use request for 201 Persimmon Avenue per staff's recommendation. Mr. Mills seconded. Motion carried 7 -0. New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, property owner; James Davis - President of the Board of Trustees for New Salem Primitive Baptist Church, representative. Sheryl Foster, for Alberta Jordan, was present to understand why she received the letter about this meeting. Staff explained to Ms. Foster the purpose of the letter. Mr. Green moved to approve the Conditional Use request for 1500 W. 12 Street per staff's recommendation. Ms. Dennison seconded. Motion carried 7 -0. Staff Reports A staff report was included in the agenda packet. Mr. Richards introduced John Schultheis, new Planning Engineer, to the board. Mr. Richards reported regarding the Patel /Bayard project - staff forwarded to the Sanford Police Department the traffic concerns on Laurel Avenue, but have not received any report on their findings. Citizen Participation None. Commissioners Reports Mr. Esler asked staff if WastePro is approved to utilize the site since they are currently using it. Mr. Richards reported he was not sure at this time, but the Director and CiFMana • ,discussing the issue. Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 1 :1 AM.
