The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in regular session at t2w.
City Ull in Sanford ,Florida, at 2 o' clock P. M. , August 2 7th, 1928.

Minutes of Regular meeting of August 13th, 1928, read and approved.
Upon motion duly adopted, the Clerk was instructed to notify the Clerk of the
Circuit Court that hereafter he will not require the payment of current year's taxes when
prior years taxes and tax certificates are redeemed.
_The. Clerk presented statement from the Clerk of the Circuit Court sho *tng
that State and County Taxes for the year 1925 on the following described property (which is
art of the Municipal Golf Course) had not been paid, and the purchaser of the Tax Certificate
s sue d had applied for a tax deed:
Beg. 40 Ch S and 20 Ch W of N.E' corner of 4- 20 -30, run E. 10 ch., S. 45 deg. E 4 ch., S. 7.17 ch., W. 22.83 ch., N. 10 ch., E. 10 ch., to beg. (hess: run E 10 ch. 3, S. 45 deg. E. 4
ch.$ S. 7.17 ch., W. 22.83 ch., N. 10 ch. E 10 ch. to beg. (Less W 10 ch.)). (10 acres)
In view of the fact that this property was not purchased until December of
925, and these taxes were of January 1, 1925, and in orders to clear the title to the property,
he C'l.erk was instructed to draw check in favor of V. E' Douglass, Clerk of the Circuit Court,
or 0167.35, representing the face of the certificate plus costs and interest, 'Mr. Douglass
ving notified the Commission that State and County Taxes against this property for the
ollowing years had been cancelled.
Mr. Harry So Jamieson having appeared before the Commission and ret}u,ested a
ase for the operation of the Municipal Golf �ourse for a period of five years at a nominal
ntal, Mr- Jamieson agreeing to keep the grounds and buildings in first class eonditiom.at his
n expense for that time, and to return same to the City at the expiration of the five years
in as good condition as when received by him, and it being the desire of the Commission to
keep the Golf course in operation at a minimum of expense to the City,
Commissioner Miller made the motion, which was unanimously adopted, that
• Jamieson be given a lease for the operation of the Municipal Golf Course, as requested, and
hat the lease previously authorized and entered into with Mr- W-W. Warner for the operation of
Golf Course be cancelled in view of the fact that Mr• Warner has ceased to-operate the said
olf course.
Thereupon, E•F• Housholder,
as Mayor, and

as City Clerk, were
uthorized and instructed to execute such a
lease with Mr-

the City of Sanford, sal
ease to be prepared by the legal department and approved by the Commission.
City Manager Cairns presented request from the Central Florids =,Filling Station,
'[located at 2nd and Sanford Avenue, to bury a gasoline storage tank in the parkway between the
idewalk and the curbing, thepump to be located inside the sidewalk on private property.

City Manager was authorized to incur the additional expense in covering the reservoi
necessary to have the timbers painted with creosote.
