Minutes of last regular meeting and special meeting of August 17th. read and approved
Mr.F. R Wilson and ladies representing the Seminole County Welfare Department came
before the Commission requesting that appropriation for the Welfare Department be provided
in the.City Budget for 1925 and 1926.
On motion duly seconded and passed the appropriation for this purpose was fixed at $1,500.00
Commissioner C JMarshall introdueed Resolution #239, entitled
" A Resolution providing for an issue of Bonds by the City of.Sanfc'rd, Florida.in.the sum of
Two Hundred and Twenty Four.Thousand Dollars, the proceeds derived from the Sale thereof to
be used to finance in part the cost of certain street improvements assessed against privately
owned property fronting and abutting said street improvements,,prescribing the form and condi-
tions of said bonds to be so issued, and-providing for a sinking Fund for the payment of the
Principal and Interest of said bonds."
and moved that same be adopted. Said motion being duly seconded, prevailed by the unanimous
vote of the City Commission . Thereupon the Chairman of the City Commission announced that
the Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida had unanimously passed-and adopted that
certain resolution entitled:
" A Reeolution providing for an issue of bonds by the City of Sanford, Florida is the earn of
Two Hundred and Twenty four Thousand Dollars, the proceeds derived from the sale thereof to
be used to finance in part the cost of certain street improvements assessed against privately
owned property fronting and abutting said street improvement's assessed against privately owned
property fronting and abutting said street improvements, prescribing the form and conditions
of said bonds to be so issued, and providing for a sinking fund for the payment of the prin-
cipal and interest of said bonds."

WHEREAS, The City of Sanford, Florida, has heretofore,, /by appropriate proceedings
provided for the paving, re- paving, hard surfacing and re -hard surfacing of certain streets
and avenues in said City, and
Whereas, the following streets and avenues in the City of Sanford Florida are to be, ark

Whereas, the proportionate part of the cost of;the improving and paving of said street
public ways and thoroughfares assessed - against ptivately owned property a butting and fronting

excess of seventy per ,oentum of the proportionate part of the cost of the improvement of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that any and all special assessments levied and imposed by the
City of Sanford, Florida upon the property benefitted by the street improvements constructed
out of the vroceeds of the bonds authorized by this resolution shall upon their collectio .

of said special assessments shall be insufficient to provide for the payment of the prin}-

AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE AMOUNT AND FIXING. THE RATE OF TaXATION' AND A KING THE ANNUAL
TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD FLORIDA FOR THE YEAR A.D. 1.9255.
and moved that the same be .placed upon its first reading and read in full. Said motion
prevailed by unanimous vote of the City Commission. Thereupon said Ordinance was placed
upon its first reading and read in full.
Thereupon Commissioner. Marshall moved that the rules be waived and said ordinance be
placed upon its second reading and final passage, which motion was duly seconded.
The question was then put on a waiver of the rules and the roll was called upon a waiver
of the rules, Those voting in favor of the waiver of the rules were:
