The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned regular
session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 10:30 A.M. , February 26
1941.
Present: Commissioner W.C.Hill, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
In accordance with instructions of the City Commission, bids next presented for
the purchase of a new automobile for the Police Department, as follows:
Altman Chevrolet Company 1941 Chevrolet Master DeLuxe Fordor Sedan
Less credit for 1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan
Strickland Motors, Inc. 1941 Ford Deluxe Fordor Sedan
Less credit for 1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan
Reel & Sons 1941 Plymouth Deluxe Fordor Sedan
Less credit for 1939 Ford Deluxe Sedan

Thereupon after comparison of the bids submitted, Commissioner Higgins moved
that the lowest bid, thtt of Altman Chevrolet Company for a 1941 Chevrolet Master
Deluxe Fordor Sedan at a price of $986.00 less credit of $446.00 on the 1939 Ford Deluxe
Sedan now used by the Police Department, be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried.
The main purpose of the meeting being to give further consideration to a modified
plan of composition for refunding the balance of the City's outstanding unrefunded
bonded indebtedness in amount of $172,000.00; the Commission next proceeded to a careful
study of a tentative plan as presented by Ed.C.+ifright and Attorney Joe Lea of Ed C.Wright
& Company, St.Petersburg , Florida, who owns 4152,000.00 of said bonds.
Thereupon, after a lengthy discussion, the Commission reached an agreement with
Mr. Wright for refunding the aforesaid indebtedness under a modified plan of composition,
and City Attorney yyilson was instructed to draft the proposed plan for final considerati
and adoption at an adjourned meeting to be held February 25,1941.
The meeting then adjourned until 5:00 o'clock P.M.February 26,1941.
