041541MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, April 15 7:30 P 19- 41 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session at the City Hall in the City of Danford, Florida, at 7:30 O'clock P.M.April 15, 1941. James Gut. if Edward Higgins If M.J.Lodge n City City Meeting caller The following i t G.E.Rollins Attorney Fred R. `Filson Clerk H N Sayer. i to order by the Chairman. request next received for an extension of time in which to pay delinquent taxes against properties on which foreclosure proceedings are being instituted by the City for collection of such taxes: Request from .VV 0 Satcher to be allowed to pay $50.00 now and an extension of 60 days to pay the balance of the taxes for the years 1937 thru 1940 against Lot 73 Sanford Heights. Request Granted. Request of E N Scott to be allowed to pay $50.00 now and extension to June 15,1941 to pay the balance of taxes for years 1931 thru 1940 and special assessments against.-Lot 6 block S Tier 1, Sanford. Request Granted. Request from Mrs Daisy M Lewis to be allowed to pay in monthly instalments of $10.00 each, the taxes for years 1934 & 1935 and special assessments, against that part of Block 19 Chapman & Tucker Addition lying east of Pump Branch. Request granted. On motion duly carried, the Commission next authorized the re— instatement of the "7 year instalment plan" for the property owners who were paying delinquent taxes under authority of Ordinances Nos. 269 and 275, and are delinquent in the payments, provided all delinquent instalments and current taxes are paid in accordance with the provisions of said ordinances. Request next received from J.J.Cates for an adjustment of the assessed valuation in amount of $17600.00 for the years 1934 and 1937 against Lots 1 and 2 , Block 3 Tiet 5, claiming that this valuation is too high in proportion to other assessments placed on similar properties. Thereupon after careful consideration, and on motion duly carried, the Commission; authorized the assessed valuation in amount of $17,500.00 for the years 1934 and 1935 against Lots 1 and 2 Block 3 Tier 5, adjusted to $15,000.00, which is the assessed valuation.placed on this property for 1936 and subsequent years. Application next received from Mrs Clara Ginn to purchase Lots 1 to 17 Inclusive, of Block 14 and lots 6 to 10 inclusive of Block 15, San Lanta Second Section, these lots having been acquired by the City through foreclosure of tax and street paving liens. Thereupon, on motion duly adopted, the Commission authorized the sale of these lots to hers Ginn at a price of $90.00 each, subject to any unpaid State "' County Taxes.
