0626415o6 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, June 26 at 7 P M 19 41 Thereupon the Chairman appointed Commissioners Lodge and Higgins as a Committee to Bake an appraisal of the aforesaid property and report at the next meeting. Communication next read from the Chairman of the State Road Denartment of Florida requesting that the City place "City Limits" signs on each highway leading into Sanford where it crosses the corporate limits in order that the State Road Department may enforce the provision of a bill passed by the 1940 Legislature regulating outdoor advertising outside the corporate limits of cities and towns. Thereupon the Commission instructed that such "City Limit" signs be placed at the corporate limits on all highways leading into Sanford. Commissioner Gut next introduced Resolution No. 606 and after being read in full by the Clerk, moved its passage and adoption. Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried by the following vote of the Commission. DAY OF MARCH 1941, ENTITLED: 11 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OFTHE CITY COMMISSION OFTHE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, RATIFYING THE PURCHASE BY SAID CITY OF A PORTION OF THE LANDS AND PREMISES TO BE ACQUIRED AND OPERATED BY SAID CITY FOR AN AIR PORT OR LANDING FIELD AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PURCHAS PRICE OF SAID PORTION OF SAID PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE , THE PROMISSORY NOTE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA , AS EVIDENCE OF THE INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FOR A PORTION OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID PROPERTY SO PU °.CHASED AS A PART OF SAID AIR PORT OR LANDING FIELD." WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, adopted Resolution No. 597 entitled " A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA RATIFYING THE PURCHASE BY SAID CITY OF A PORTION OF THE LANDS AND PREMISES TO BE AC- QUIRED AND OPERATED BY SAID CITY FOR AN AIR PORT OR LANDING FIELD AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID PORTION OF SAID PROPERTY AND AUTHORIIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE THE PROMISSORY NOTE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD , FLORIDA, AS EVIDENCE OF THE INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY ©OR A PORTION OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID PROPERTY SO PURCHASED AS A PART OF SAID AIR PORT OR LANDING FIELD," WHICH provided for the execution and delivery by the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Sanford of two promissory notes of said City , one for the sum of 41,060.00 payable on or before one year after date and one for the sum of $1,680.00 payable on or before two years after date, each of said promissory notes to be payable to Nona A Wylly for the payment of a hart of the purchase price of the property described in said Resolution No. 597, and WHEREAS, the record title to the nroperty described in said Resolution No. 597 was vested in the said Nona A.Wylly, who executed deed of conveyance thereof to the City of Sanford prior to her death but it has been made to appear to the City that the brother of said Nona A.Wylly, namely, thelate Albert Wylly, was interested to the extent of an undi ided one -half interest in the property described in said Resolution No. 597 and his interest be ame vested in Thomas C. Wylly and Alberta Wylly Ellis, nephew and neice respectively of the said Nona A.Wylly, and prior to her death the said Nona A.Wylly had instructed H.M.Watson, her agent in the matter , to disburse the proceeds of the aforesaid promissory notes in the proportion of one -half to her, the said Nona A.Wylly, and One- fourth to each, the said Thomas C.Wylly and Alberta Wylly Ellis, and it being further made to appear to the City Commission that Chester W.Goodrich is the owner under the last will and testament of the said Nona A.Wylly, deceased, of the interest of the said Nona A.Wylly in the aforesaid deferred payments and is the executor of the estate of the said Nona A.Wylly, deceased, and 1 1 �II �J L' 7 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, ?June 26 at 7: oo P M 19 41 has made written recuest to the City Commission to authorize the execution and delivery 507 of prbmissory notes for said deferred payments as follows: Onepromissory note to Chester W.Goodrich , as Executor of the Estate of Nona A.Wylly, deceased, for $530.00, payable on or before one year after date. One promissory note for $265.00 payable to Thomas C.Wylly on or before one year after date. One promissory note for $420.00 payable to Thomas C.Wylly on or before two years after date. One promissory note to Alberta Wylly Ellis for $265.00 payable on or before one year after date. One promissory note to Alberta Wylly Ellis for $420.00 payable on or before two years after date. Water Pumping Station and the supply wells , as a -protection against sabotage. Thereupon, after considerable discussion, the Clerk was instructed to obtain prices on chain link fencing for consideration at the next meeting. In connection with the usual custom of closing the City Hall on July 4th. each year in observance of Independence Day, the Commission next instructed that the City Hall be closed on July 5th. also, in view of the fact that Inde -pendence Day is on Friday this year.
