City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida , at 3 :oo P.M. Idarch 12, 1940

.&ieeting called to order c;f the Chairman.
Engineer r' ti.'i'0.Gillespie _next presented for consideration the followin specifications
for the two master meters to be installed: at the u unicipal ',eater Pumping Station under
the j1PA water u-�orks project for replacing the water supply main, wr�ich will c e furnished by
the WPA as part of their contribution toward this project.
1 Flow meter electrically operated, 14 inch , for intermittent flow from 300
g.p.m. to 2000 g.p.m, with cast iron venturi tube as pressure differential crevice
comr,lete with appurtenances.
1 Flow meter, electric -lly operated, 14 inch, for intermittent flow from 1200
o.p.m. to 3500.p.m. �rrith monel orifice plates for installation in the lines as
pressure differential device, ca.nolete with appurtenances.
Thereupon, after a cereful study of the different types of :peters, the Commission
eloproved the above specifications and instructed that seffle be delivered to the °IPA
to be used in advertisin ;= for bids for furnishin�,� the meters.
The Commission next proceeded to r len• -thy discussion, with �'r. C.E.Bredshaw,
president of the Seminole Count- Lasebp:ll A sociation iith reference to operating the
softball fiold during
e aseb,311 season.
Thereupon, after careful consi,aeretion of the matter, it was felt tha.± the population
of - anford is tco small to support a baseball team and softball team during the same
season, E :na the Co.aaiission c reed to keep the softball field closed until the baseball
season is over.
Consideration next riven to the request from a numper of citizens that the parking
of inotor vehicles , ,,n Park <venue from Coz.i :erci` 1 Street south to Second Street be
changed from angular to parallel parkin;, as a safety ensure, final action being
deferred until the next meeting, pendin any objections that :;,ay be raise=d a- :ainst this
