CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA,__PXil 9 at 2:30 P M 19__D
THE City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 2:30 o'clock P.M. April 9, 1940.
Present: Commissioner Walter S. Coleman , Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Mr. Ed. C. Wright and Mr. Roberts of Ed. C.Tright & Company, St. Petersburg, Florida
next appeared with reference to effecting a settlement for refunding $152,000.00 of
Sanf ord's old unrefunded bonds represented by them.
Thereupon, the Commission proceeded to a lengthy discussion with Mr. Wright and Mr.
Roberts with resp--ct to arriving at a mutual agreement for refunding the $152,000.00

deferred pending a proposal to be submitted by Ed. C.Wright & Company
at a later date.
The Clerk next reported that R.M.Hardaker had vacated the position as recreation
director without notice, by leaving Sanford on April 6th. and not returning for duty.
Thereupon, after considerable discussion, Commissioner Rollins moved that
Deputy Tax Collector Harold J Powers be appointed as Acting Recreation Director until
such time this vacancy is filled.
Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned until 10:oo o'clock A.M.
April 10, 1940.
