On motion of Co.fmissioner Hio ins, seconded by Co::cr_issi; her aollins and carried, the Commission next approved the purchase of 5 Refunding Series A bonds Nos. 1747,3390,4073, 4119 and 4120 with coupons due Ceptember 11 1940 and subsequent coupons attached, fror.: ":alter L Cooper at a price of 1:2 5.00 per bond and interest, also the purchase from Beynard Brothers Realty & Insurance Company, Inc. of 5 RefundinG Series A ponds i'os 3701/3705, with coupons due Sept 1, 1940 and subsequent coupons attached, at a price of „250. 00 per bond end interest. Application next received from A F Kimbrell to rent Lots 7,0,9 and l) Block 4 Tier 1, owned by the City and located at the northeast corner of epalmetto Avenue and Third Street for tf.e purpose of displayin- automobiles. Thereupon, after careful c3r.sideration, Co,r.;nission- -r Hig:Jins moved that the City rent the aforesaid property to 4:r. Kimbrell as a tenant at will, for the purpose of dis;lcyin- auto:nobil s, upon the payment to the City therefor the sum of jl0.JO per month. Seconded by Commissioner Rollins and carried. The Clerk next reported that Jule Whiteley, colored City employee, is afflicted with tuberculosis and that application has been made to the County Corn;<<issioners to admit him in the State Tuberculosis Sanitorium at Oriando'f or treatment and hospitalization, but in view of the fact thet Seminole County's quota for charity patients is filled with several applicat ons on file for admittance, the County Commissioners have advised that he can be admitted at this time only as a pay patient at a cost of ninety -two cents per day, but will accept him as a charity patient at such time his application is in line for consideration. Thereupon, after careful consideration and in view of the fact that Jule "'hittley has been in the employ of the City for 15 years and has always performed his duties faithfully, Co?nmissioner Rollins moved that the City pay the cost of hospitalization for him at the State Tuberculosis Sanitorium until such time he is accepted by the County as a. charity patient Seconded by Co,ani s si oner 1Gut and carried. Further consideration given to acquiring Lots il- ?nd 12 of Block A, and Lots 1,2,3 and 4 of Block C, of First Street Ixtension so as to include these lots in the property now being developed as Fort Mellon Park. Thereupon the City Attorney was authorized and instructed to cor:,nuricate with the owners of phis property again and endeavor to trade them other City -owned property in exchange for these lots. Application next received from ars. Anna Messer for permit to tear down an old frame dwelli house located on Lot 3 3lock b Tier 1, on which there are delinquent City taxes for the years 1927 thru 1937 that are being paid under the "7 year instalment plan." Thereupon on motion duly adopted, the Commission authorized that a permit be granted for the removal of this buildin provided ors iresser pay the instalment due April 1, 1940 on the delinquent taxes against this property. Reports of second spring analysis of milk being furnished by dairies operating in the City of -an.ord, as prepared by the X -Ray and Clinical La.00ratories of Sanford, and Florida State Board of Heelth Laboratories at Jacksonville , next presented, such reports showing all such milk well within the requirements of Grade "A" milk. Base or Trainin_; School in Sanford. City Attorney Wilson: next advised the Commission that the County has prepared the SPA project .application covering the construction of a hospital, and that in-order to submit this application to the `.7ork Projects Administration for approval they must have title to Blocks 10, 11, 16 and 17 Mellonville, :9,hich the City has agreed to furnish them for the hospital site. This property havino, been purchased from Hal 'eight under date of August 24, 1935 for this purpose. Thereupon Commissioner Gut moved that the N+Iayor and Clerk be authorized to execute deed of conveyance of Blocks 10, 11, 16 and 17 of Yellonville to Seminole County for the purpose of erecting a hospital thereon, and th,t a clause be embodied in said deed that if there shall not be erected a hospital on this property, under and in accordance with a `fork Projects Administration project now applied for, said property shall immediately revert to the City Seconded by Commissioner Rollins and carried. Further consideration next given to the application of Harry Robson for permit to erect a frame dance hall building, size 30' X 50' on a part of the City -owned property leased to him for operating a bowling alley located at the southwest corner of First Street and Cypress Avenue. Thereupon, after a careful study of the plans and specifications submitted by :rr.
