The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Flor' -da, met in adjourned session at
the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 7:30 o'clock P.M. August 27, 1940
Present: Commissioner Walter S. Coleman, rlayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Architect Elton J Vloughton next submitted the WPA project application coverlog
the construction of a recreation building in Fort Mellon Park, the total cost of the
project being $14,790.00, of which the City's share is $62604.00.
Thereupon Commissioner Higgins moved that the application be approved and the
Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute same on behalf of the City.
Seconded by Commissioner Rollins and carried.
The Board then proceeded to a lengthy study of the estimate of revenues and ex-
fiscal
penditures for the /year 1940 -1941, as prepared by the City Clerk, after which the
meeting adjourned until 7:30 o'clock P.M. August 29, 1940.
