The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Called Session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 3 o'clock P.M. January 5, 1939•
Present: Commissioner Higgins Mayor

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Further consideration then given to the proposed lease with W.L. Cooper, as client
of S.D. Highleyman, to the City owned property facing Seminole Boulevard and lying between
Cloud Branch and the right —of —way of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, to be
used as a combined cabin and trailer camp, Mr Cooper being present and discussing the
matter with Board.
Thereupon , after considerable discussion of the proposed lease itself, and also
from the standpoint of the advisability of allowing a trailer camp within the City limits.
Commissioner Rollins then moved, concerning a trailer camp within the City Limits
of the City of Sanford, that the action of the previous Commission in regards to leasing
under contract to S.D.Highleyman's client the City owned property facing Seminole
Boulevard and lying between Cloud Branch and the right —of —way of the Atlantic Coast Line
Railroad Company, to be used as a combined cabin and trailer camp.-be rescinded, and
that further execution of the proposed contract be halted.
Lodge.
Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried over the dissenting vote of Commissioner
Commissioner Rollins then moved that the City forsea, be withdrawn from grading
and clearing the proposed trailer camp site until directed so to do.

Seconded by Commissioner Gut and carried over the dissenting vote of Commissioner
Consideration next given to the emergency existing with respect to the condition
of the wood pipe which carries the water from the wells to the Water Pumping Station.
Thereupon the Clerk was authorized to purchase 206 feet, in varying lengths,
of lb inch wood stave pipe, from the Pacific Tank and Pipe Co. similar to that now
is use and heretofore purchased from this Company.
There being no further business the meeting then adjourned.
