Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The Commission then resolved itself into final session as a Tax Equalization Board
to act upon complaints registered as to assessed valuations for the year 1939 as
well as any other business which may come before it as an Equallation Board.
Consideration next given to reducing the assessed valuations placed on vacant
unimproved property to an equitable value.
Thereupon after considerable discussion, Commissioner Gut moved that the assessed
valuations on all vacant unimproved property be reduced 60 percent for 1939, and that
the Tax Assessor be authorized to make the necessary adjustments so that all assessed
valuations on the tax roll will be in even units of tens.
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
The following action was next taken with respect to complaints as to valuations
presented to the Board at its meeting of July 3rd. as well as any other complaints filed
