MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, July 10 at 7y 3Q - P M 19 39 The Clerk next presented Florida National Bank of Jacksonville Safe- keeping Receipt No 5917, dated June 27, 1939, covering $20,000.00 U.S. 2J% Treasury Bonds dated Mar 15, 1938, due Sept. 15, 1948, said safe-keeping receipt having been delivered to the City by the Florida State Bank of Sanford as security for City funds on deposit in said bank. Thereupon , Commissioner Coleman moved that the aforesaid Safe-keeping Receipt Sol 5917 covering $20,000.00 U.S. 2J% Treasury Bonds be approved and accepted as security for City funds on deposit in the Florida State Bank of Sanford. Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried. On motion of Commissioner Gut, seconded by Commissioner Coleman and carried, the Commission next authorized the purchase from Barcus, Kindred & Company of 20 Refunding Series "A" bonds with coupons due Sept 1, 1939, and subsequent attached, at a price of $260.00 per bond and accrued interest. Request next received from C.W.Lynn for permission to remove two oak trees from the parkway in front of his home at 600 Elm Ave., and on recommendation of Supt. Moughton , same was granted. Request next received from E.M. Armitage for the establishment of a building line on the south side of Geneva Ave. between Park Ave. and Oak Ave. and on the East side of Oak Ave. between Geneva Ave. and State Road No. 3 in Block 1, Spurling Heights. Thereupon, after careful consideration, the Commission set the building line at 10 feet from the property line on Geneva Ave. between Park Ave. and Oak Ave. and 5 feet from the property line on Oak Ave. between Geneva Ave. and State Road No-3 Request next received from Everett Jones to be allowed to pay delinquent taxes for the years 1928 thru 1938, amounting to $429.65, and street paving assessments and interest amounting to $215.24, under the adjusted basis amounting to $145.26, against Lot 2 Block 8 Tier A.
