CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD,
FLORIDA, June 29 at 2 P.M

The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned
Session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 2:40 O'clock P.M.
June 29, 1939.
Present: Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor
Walter S. Coleman

Absent: Commissioner G.E. Rollins
Meeting called to order by the Chairman who announced that the purpose of

the meeting was to confer with Mr. J. Neal Greening, president of the Florida National
Bank at Lakeland, with respect to assisting the City in securing funds with which to
finance the purchase and installation of a new pipe line from the wells to the Municipal
reservoir and water pumping station..
The Board then proceeded to a lengthy study of ways and means of securing
a loan for the aforesaid purpose, as presented by Mr. Greening, also, the terms,
interest rates and validation of revenue certificates that will have to be issued
as security, final action being deferred, pending further consideration of the matter.
On motion duly carried, the Commission next authorized Engineer 7"i7_liams to
prepare specifications for the construction of the aforesaid pipe line, the right of
way to be designated by Commissioner Gut and Supt. Moughton.
There being no further business the meeting then adjourrid until 7:30
