The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session at
the City Hall in the City, of Sanford, Florida, at 2:oo o'clock P.M.August 2, 1939•

Meeting called to order by the Chairlpan who announced that the purpose of the meeting
was to consider the bids received at the meeting of July 31st , 1939, for furnishing water
pipe with which to replace the water supply main from the wells to the water pumping
station.
Thereupon the bids as tabulated by the Clerk wasfnext submitted, as follows:

Thereupon, after considerable discussion, the Commission authorized and instructed
the Clerk to address a. request to Dr. A.P.Black, Consulting Chemist, Gainesville, Florida,
to come to Sanford and meet with the Board with respect to the proper specifications

upon the aforesaid bids being deferred until a later date, pending an opinion from
