0829391�4 MINUTES Adjourned Meeting CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, August 29 at 3:00 P,, M.- The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Adjourned Session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 3:00 o'clock P. M. August 29, 1939. Present Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor �+ Walter S. Coleman H. James Gut �+ M. J. Lodge " G. E. Rollins City Clerk H. N. Sayer Meeting called to order by the Chairman, who announced that the purpose of the meeting was to consider the proposal of C. Kenneth S. Dodd, Consulting Engineer, and Dr. A. P. Black, Consulting Chemist, with respect to their services in connection with the purchase and construction of the proposed water pipe line from the wells to the water pumping station, and any other business which may come before it. Engineer Dodd then outlined the engineering for the preliminary work, plans and specifications, supervision and inspection during construction, and the fee rates for this service. Thereupon, after a lengthy discussion as to the amount of engineering necessary in constructing the aforesaid pipe line, the Commission requested Mr. Dodd to submit a proposal covering his fees for the preliminary work, and plans and specifications, based on the City furnishing the location plans, profiles and topographic and physical data necessary for use in the layout and design of the pipe line, for further consideration. Request next received from W. D. Hoffmann for reconsideration of his application for a permit to construct a driveway in front of Lot 10 Block 4 Tier 2, located on the East side of Magnolia Avenue between Second and Third Streets, refused by the Commission at the regular meeting of August 28th. Thereupon, after careful consideration and in view of the fact that this driveway will be used for entrance purposes only, and upon the assurance of Mr. Hoffmann that no vehicles will be allowed to drive out or back out on the driveway, the Commission granted this permit. There being no further business, the meeting then adjourned until 5:30 o'clock P. M. September 7, 1939. Mayor Attest k
