CITY COMMISSION — SANFORD , FLORIDA. at 12 O'Clock Noon April 15, 1936.
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session at the
City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 12 O'Clock Noon, April 15, 1934, for
the purpose of canvassing the returns of the Special Municipal Election held April 14,
1936.
Present: Commissioner S.O.Shinholser, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of the Special municipal
Election held on April 14th, 1936, to elect a successor to Commissioner T.L.Dumas,
deceased, as made by the Clerk and Inspectors of said Election as follows:
For Vivian A Speer 393 Votes
For M.J.Lodge 442 votes
For H.B.Pope 1-vote
Mutilated ballots thrown out _9
Total votes cast 845
Thereupon Commissioner Whitehurst moved that the returns of the Clerk and
Inspectors of the Special Municipal Election held April 14th, 1936, be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Dupree and carried.
Thereupon, M.J.Lodge was declared to be the regularly elected Commissioner of
the City of Sanford, Florida, to serve the unexpired term of Commissioner T.L.Dumas,
deceased.
On motion of Commissioner Whitehurst, seconded by Commissioner Dupree and carried,
payment of $5.00 to ®ch of the inspectors and the clerk of the Special Municipal Election
held April 14th, 1936, was neat authorized, after which the meeting adjourned.
