Adjourned meeting of the City Commission of the City of Sanford at 1:30 O'Clock
P.ivi. June 25th. 1936.
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Adjourned Sessiorr
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 1:30 '0'Clock P.M. June 25,1936.
Present: Commissioner S.O.Shinholser, Mayor.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The Chairman then announced that the first order of business was to discuss
sending a representative to a "Preparedness Against Hurricane Disasters" meeting
of the American Red Cross at New Smyrna on June 29th.
Upon motion of Commissioner V7hitehurst, seconded by Commissioner Dupree end
carried Chief of Police R.G.'V'illiams was then authorized to represent the City at
this meeting.
Letter from Samuel A.B.Xilkinson, tendering his resignation as Municipal
Judge of the City of Sanford, Florida., 'was next rea.d.
Commissioner W—R.Dupree then moved that said resignation be accepted as of
this date; seconded by Commissioner bi.J.Lodge and carried by the unanimous vote
of the Commission.
Application next read from Nick Constantice for permit to sell beer and wines
at place of business on corner of French Ave. and Seminole Boulevard, and on
recommendation of Chief of Police, same was approved.
Applications for the position of Municipal Judge were then read from the
following:

Mr. Frank L. ?miller
Mr. John G.Leonardy
Mr. S.J.Nix
also verbal application of Mr. M.B.Smith presented.
Action deferred.
The meeting then adjourned to meet again at 7:30 O' Clock P,M,� June
29, 1936.
