0921361, 1 1 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, Sept. 21 at 7 :30 P M 19_-6 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7 :30 O'Clock P.M. September 21,1936. Present: Commissioner S.O.Shinholser, Mayor. " W.R.Dupree M N.A.Leffler M M.J.Lodge " P.N.Whitehurst City Attorney Fred R.Wilson City Clerk F.S.Lamsom Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Petition received from D.L.Harper, Mrs. T.E.King and Louis Nader residing in the neighborhood of 805 K. Second St., requesting that the Pity Commission declare a public nmisance and cause to be removed the horse stables and horses now kept at that location Matter referred to City Attorney for investigation and report. Communication neat read from the Sanford Baseball Association requesting that an item of $1000.00 be included in the 1936 -1937 budget to be used to assist the Sanford Baseball Club during the 1937 season}. Matter laid on the table for the time being. Communication next read from H.J.Lehman regretting his inability to serve as a representative of the -City on the Advisory Committee for the State Farmers' Market in Sanford. Action deferred until neat regular meeting of Commission. Representative of the 08" Club of theSeminole High School neat requested the City to lend the High School sufficient money to install lights for night playing of foot ball games at the high school athletic field, it being their intention to repay this loan as soon as a WPA project for this improvement has been approved by the Federal Government. Action deferred pending receipt of information as to the approximate cost of such lights. The main purpose of the meeting being to consider the possiblity of refunding the City's bonded indebtedness, the Commission neat proceeded to a careful study of a tentative refunding plan as presented by Kenneth M. Keefe, Chairman of the City of Sanford Bondholders Protective Committee, no action being necessary pending further conferences with the City's creditors. The meeting then adjourned.
