090236MINUTES 67 CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, September 2, 7 *30 P M -19- 36 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida met in adjourned sessiom at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 7:30 O'Clook P.M. September 2, 1936. Present: Commissioner S.O.Shinholser, Mayor. " W.R.Dupree " W.A.Leffler " M.J.Lodge " P N Whitehurst City Attorney Fred R.Ailson City Clerk F.S. Lamson+ Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Consideration then given to request heretofore made by the National Guard Officials that the City contribute $600.00 towards the cost of brick needed in the com- pletion of the new National Guard Armory, a City sponsored WPA project. Thereupon Commissioner Leffler moved that the City donate $600.00 towards the cost of the brick needed for this Armory. Seconded by Commissioner Whitshurst and carried. City Attorney Wilson next advised the Commission that by agleement between counsel for the City and G.A.DeCottes as counsel for Augustus T.Ashton, the check for $125.00 delivered to the Clerk of the Circuit Court under date of December 23, 1932, as security for expenses of advertising in the temporary injunction obtained by the City against the sale under levy of certain city owned property to satisfy judgment of the said Augustus T. Ashtom had been returned to the City and that the total cost of said advertising had been determined to be $70.00. Thereupon Commissioner Whitehurst moved payment of $70.00 to Geo. A.DeCottes as attorney for Augustus T.Ashton, to cover costs of said advertising as outlined by City Attorney Wilson. Seconded by Commissioner Dupree and carried. In view of the appearance of Kenneth M. Keefe and J.W.Shands, representilltl the City of Sanford Bondholders Protective Committee, for purposes of an informal discussion with the City Commission concerning the possible refunding of the City <!'s bonded debt. the meeting then adjourned until 7:30 O(Clock P.Y.
