November 2, 1936. Present: Commissioner S.O.Shinholser. " W.R.Dupree " W.A.Leffler " M.J.Lodge " P.N.Whitehurst. City Attorney Fred R. Wilsom City Clerk F.S. lamsow, Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Net. #739.90 Thereupon, after comparison of the prices and makes of automobiles bid upon:, Commissioner Leffler moved that the bid of Strickland Rotors, Inc. to furnish 1936 Ford Fordor Sedan for $732.00 be accepted. No second Thereupon, Commissioner Whitehurst moved that the bid of Wight Bros. Co. to furhish 1937 Plymouth four door business sedan for $739.90 be accepted. Seconded by Commissioner Dupree and carried over the dissenting vote of Commissioner Leffler. The Commission neat proceeded to a further study of the Municipal Water Plant, particularly as to the power for pumping the water from the wells and for raising the water from the reservoir to the standpipe , Mr. H.H.Coleman of the Florida Power & Light Company being present and offering several plans. 1 () 9 110 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, November 2_ -at 7:30 P M-19_36 Action deferred. Commissioner Leffler neat moved that the proposal of A P Michaels, Consulting Engineer, to make an analysis and comprehensive survey of the municipal water system for a price of $500.00, be accepted, with the understanding that first consideration be given to the most economical as well as efficient method for pumping the water. Seconded by Commissioner Whitehurst and carried. In connection with the requirement of the State Planning Board for a six year program of proposed WPA and PWA projects, to be used as a basis for future Federal aid, authorization was neat issued to employ Engineer Fred T. Williams to prepare such six year estimate of needed work projects. Offer next received from C.M. Mitchell to pay $75.00 in full settlement of 1932s 1933 and 1934 personal taxes and costs, amounting to $127.00 , against the Union Pharmacy. Offer rejected.
