CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, November 4, at 12 M.

The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Special Session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida at 12 O'Clock Noon, November 4th,
1936, for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the Municipal Primary
Election held November 3rd. 1936.
Present: Commissioner S A.Shinholser, Mayor.

" M.J.Lodge
City Attorney Fred R.Wilson
City Clerk F.S. Lamson.
Absent: Commissioner W.A. Leffler
" P.N.Whitehurst.
Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of the Municipal Primary
Election held on November 3rd. 19369 as made by the Clerk and inspectors of said election,.
as follows:
For City Commissioner, Group No. 1
For M.J.Lodge
For Maxwell Stewart
For R.B.Wight
For City"Commissioner, Group No. 2:
For Edward Higgins
For W.B. Zachry
Mutilated ballots thrown out
Total votes cast.

Thereupon Commissioner Dupree moved that the returns of the Clerk aid Inspectors
of the Municipal Primary Election held November 3rd. , 1936, be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
Thereupon 14.J.Lodge was declared to be the regularly elected nominee in Group No 1
and Edward Higgins the regularly elected nominee in Group No. 2 for the position of
City Commissioner of the City of Sanford, Florida, to be voted upon at the General
Municipal Election to be held December 8th, 1936.
On motion of Commissioner Dupree, seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried,
payment of $5.00 to each of the inspectors and the clerk of the Municipal Primary
election held November 3rd. 1936, and also to E.F. Lane for special services and
assistance rendered at such election was next authorized, after which the meeting
adjourned.
