The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in special session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida., at 12 O'clock Noon, December 9th.
1936, for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the General Municipal Election
held on December Sth., 1936, as made by the Clerk and Inspectors thereof, with
Mayor S.O.Shinholser, City Attorney Fred R.Wilson and City Clerk, F.S. Lamson in
attendance , but in view of the lack of a quorum, immediately adjourned until
12 o'clock Noon, December 12, 1936.

The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Adjourned Session
at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 12 o'clock Noon, December 12, 19369
for the purpose of canvassing the election returns of the Regular Municipal Election
held December 8, 1936.
Present: Commissioner S.O. Shinholser, Mayor.

Absent: Commissioner W. A Leffler.

Meeting called to order by the Chairman.
The Chairman then announced that due to the inability of N.O.Garner to serve as
Inspector of the Regular Municipal Election of December Sth, 1936, E.F. Lane had been
appointed in his stead.
Action approved.
Thereupon the Commission proceeded to canvass the returns of the Regular Municipal
Election held on December Sth, 1936, as made by the Clerk and Inspectors of said Election
as follows:
For City Commissioner , Group No. 1

For M.J. Lodge 57 votes
For City Commissioner, Group No. 2
For Edward Higgins 55 votes
Mutilated ballots thrown out 1
Total votes cast
59
Thereupon Commissioner Dupree moved that the returns of the Clerk and Inspectors
of the General Municipal Election of December 8th, 1936 be accepted.
Seconded by Commissioner Lodge and carried.
Thereupon M.J. Lodge and Edward Higgins were certified to be the regularly elected
