012937160 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, January 29 at 7:30 P M 19 37 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in adjourned session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 O'clock P.M. January 29, 1937• Present: Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor. " W.R.Duprew " W.A.Lefflar " M.J.Lodge. " P.N.Whitehurst City Attorney Fred R. Wilson City Clerk F. S Lamson] Meeting called to order by the Chairman. City Attorney Wilson then presented draft of proposed resolution authorizing the issuance of bonds in an amount of $5,900,000.00 to be used to refund the present outstanding bonded indebtedness of the City in accordance with agreement executed between the City and the City of danford.Bondholders Protective Committee under date of November 25, 1936. Thereupon said proposed resolution was given careful study item by item, and then referred back to City Attorney Wilson with instructions to prepare in proper form for passage and adoption. Consideration neat given to the matter of contacting the owners of bonds not deposited with the City of Sanford Bondholders Protective Committee with a view to effecting the exchange of such bonds for a like amount of the proposed refunding bonds. Thereupon applications were received from Chas. S. Henning and F.W.Bender to be employed to handle this work and same were taken under advisement. On motion duly carried the Clerk was next instructed to make payment to A.P.Michaels of $500.00 representing agreed price for making a survey and report on the Municipal Water Plant, said survey having been made and report presented to the City. The meeting then adjourned until 7:30 o'clock P.M. February 1, 1937. Thereupon the Board immediately re- oonvened in adjourned session as a Municipal Delinquent Tax Adjustment Board. Commissioner Leffler then introduced Resolution No. 499 entitledl, A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COMMISSION Cr THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE REFUNDIX,G OF SAID CITY'S OUTSTANDING BONDED INDEBTEDNESS AND THE REFUNDING OF JUDGMENTS SECURED THEREON BY THE ISSUANCE OF REFUNDING BONDS. and same was read in full by the Clerk. Whereupon Commissioner Whitehurst moved the passage and adoption of said Resolution No. 499. Seconded by Commissioner Lodge.
