082437��6 MINUTES CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA, August 24 at 7:30.P 149- 37 The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida., met in adjourned session at the City Hall in the City of Sanford, Florida, at 7:30 O'Clock P.M. August 24, 1937• Present: Commissioner Edward Higgins, Mayor. W.R.Dupree ►' A 17 Lee It G.A. Leffler if M J Lodge City Attorney Fred R Wilson City Clerk F.S. Lamson Meeting called to order by the Chairman. Thereupon consideration was given to a. proposed agreement whereby the City is to be granted the right to install an electric power line on a strip of land owned by the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company extending from where the south line of Harrison ( Or 16th St.) Street intersects the easterly boundary line of the right —of —way of the Railroad Company's Sanf ordTOrlando Main line track, south east and south to and across the Railroad Company's property at Lake `Jennie, this power line to be a link in the pro- posed line from the Water Pumping Station at Thirteenth St. and French Avenue to the City's wells along the Orlando Highway at Lake Ada.. Thereupon Commissioner Leffler offered the following Resolution and moved its passage and adoption: RESOLUTION. Be It Resolved by the City Commissioners of the City of Sanford, Florida, in Adjourned Regular Meeting assembled, that the Mayor — Commissioner be, and he hereby is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company, and to sign same on behalf of said City,whereby the said Railroad Company gives to the.,said City permission and license to construct and maintain-an electric power line, consisting of poles and wires on andalong a strip of land of the said Railroad Company at and near Sanford, Florida, leading to Lake Jennie and also across the said Railroad Company's tract of land at Lake Jennie, the Location of which electric power line is particularly described in said agreement, which agreement is dated August 10th, 1937, the total length of said electric power line on land of the Railroad Company being 9616 feet, more or less. mission: Seconded by Commissioner Dupree and carried by the f ollowing vote of the Com- Commissioner Higgins Aye Dupree Aye it Lee Aye If Leffler Aye It Lodge Aye Communication next read from Fred T Williams offering to deed to the City Lots 20 and 21 of Block 12 , Lot 28 of Block 5, and Lots 15 and 16 of Block 11 Bel Air against which foreclosure proceedings have been started, in exchange for a receipt for delinquent taxes and paving assessments against lot 10 Block 7 Mayfair. Offer turned down due to the fact that expenses of foreclosure of the Bel Air lots have already been incurred. Complaint next received that local junk yards are buying stolen goods from 1 P� MINUTES -CITY COMMISSION, SANFORD, FLORIDA. Instructions next issued to City Attorney ilson to institute foreclosure proceedings against the following tax - delinquent properties: Lots 3, 42 7 & 9 of Block 2 Tier 4 Lots 6, 7 & 9 of Block 3 Tier 4 Lot 10 of Block 1 Tier 8 Lots 1 & 2 of Block 1 Tier 7 Lots 4, 5 & 6 of Block 4 Tier 1.
